One of the most often things I find people asking for help is how to make a nick completor. In this article I will teach you how to make a nick styler. No that's not a nick completor but a nick styler is what most people want when they ask for a nick completor. No big difference but a true nick completor will complete the nick for you. We will just use that nifty feature mIRC has called the tab button. For the following examples, the blue text will be new coding just given in that section, the green will be coding given in the previous section and the red text will describe it. If you copy the coding into your remotes, the red coding will not hurt it, but I suggest you make your own script. This article is just to help you make your own nick styler, not copy one.

We will start off with the main part. When you type something it is "imputing" the text into the irc server. That's why we are going to use the on input for your nick completor.

on *:input:#: {
if (/ != $left($1,1)) && ($1 ison #)

; now this simple just makes sure that first word you type is not a command with the "/" and that the first word you type is a nick
; that is in the current chan your in

}

Now that we the base to the styler, now you need to add a nick with style and your msg.

on *:input:#: {
if (/ != $left($1,1)) && ($1 ison #)
{ say -( $+ $1 $+ )- $2- }
;
This would have you say in the current chan the nick (styled) that your talking to and your msg. ex. -(JaCkFr0sT)- sup man!
}

But wait! You thought you were done, but theres more! You see double, I told you to lay off those pills man! The resone you see what you typed in the edit box and what you want to appear is because we didn't halt that. I could of put that in the last coding but I wanted the stress the importance in the halt! A lot of people tell me there seeing double and turns out there trying to edit a mIRC default command and they forget the halt! So the finally coding should look like this:

on *:input:#: {
if (/ != $left($1,1)) && ($1 ison #)
{ say -( $+ $1 $+ )- $2- | halt }
}

Now you got a nick styler. Never new it could be this small either. But you can add different stuff to it such like colors and fancy random things. I will give you one last example to spice it up a little.

on *:input:#: {
if (/ != $left($1,1)) && ($1 ison #)
{ say 4-( $+ $1 $+ 4)- $2- | halt }
; Now this is adds color, 4 is red and the box is the ctrl+k command, now use your creativity to have it look anyway you want!

}

Now just type the nick, (easy way is to type the first 3 letters of there nick then hit tab) and your msg. Boom, its done for you!
