One day your talking to someone on mIRC and realize that they are not replying to you. Then you /whois them to see if they are idling. Your mIRC says that there not idle at all. How dare someone ignore you when there not! Well, they might not be idling at all. To get the true idle time for someone yo generally have to be on the same server as they are. If not, that's most likely why your not getting an idle time at all. Now how ignoring can that be to switch your server just to see there idle time. Well... you have to include there nick twice...

/whois m0difi3d m0difi3d

You will get a reply that should look like this...

m0difi3d is hmong@microsoft.only.wants.to.screw.y0u.org * http://www.team-clanx.net/
m0difi3d on #nicktrade #skadurz @#clan-x-scripterz
m0difi3d using astro.ga.us.dal.net WebUseNet DALnet Server
m0difi3d End of /WHOIS list.

Now on some servers... it's still a pain and still won't give you that darn idle time. Well this time since you did the /whois and you know what server there on... replace the first nick with there server.

/whois astro.ga.us.dal.net m0difi3d

And this is what you see...

m0difi3d is hmong@microsoft.only.wants.to.screw.y0u.org * http://www.team-clanx.net/
m0difi3d on #nicktrade #skadurz @#clan-x-scripterz
m0difi3d using astro.ga.us.dal.net WebUseNet DALnet Server
m0difi3d has been idle 54mins 21secs, signed on Sun Dec 24 21:12:23
m0difi3d End of /WHOIS list.

Yep, its that simple! And no need to go change servers.
