Simple IRCop Scanner

Written by sphere

1. What is an IRCop?

First off, the term IRCop stands for IRC Operator, NOT IRC Cop as some believe.

They may also be referred to as an oper.

IRCops are users who have access to commands

that allow them to administrate their server or the network.

They usually have more experience with IRC and the DALnet network than normal users,

and are therefore qualified to deal with problematic situations.

Please note that they are all volunteers and do NOT get paid for their work.

2. Now that we know what an IRCop is, lets get to the scripting!

To make the IRCop Scanner, you'll need these commands/raws:

/.who 0 o

and

raw 352:*:{

 if (* isin $7) {

  echo -a -OperScan- $6 is an IRCop! For extra info: /whois $6

 }

}

3. Now we'll need some way to display the results of the scan.. lets keep it simple and use the /echo alias

;alias you'll need to execute the scan

alias ircopscan { .who 0 o }

;menu

menu channel {

 ircop scan:{ ircopscan2 }

}

We've got pretty much all the code you'll need for your IRCop Scanner.

It wasn't that hard, huh? :)

5. We'll now list everything you put into your Remotes (Alt+R)

alias ircopscan2 { .who 0 o }

raw 352:*:{

 if (* isin $7) {

  echo -a -OperScan- $6 is an IRCop! For extra info: /whois $6

 }

}

menu channel {

 ircop scan:{ ircopscan2 }

}

Have fun scripting!
