Have you ever joined a channel to suddenly have a msg come from a nick like WB (yournickname) WB Then a funnny msg or just anything that you have said. And you wonder how to do that. It is probably one of the most easiest things to do. Well depending on what way you want to do it. The 2 simplest ways are using variables or ini's. If you are a newbey i suggest using variables, But if you want you can use ini's

Here are 2 examples:
Example #1(Variables):
on *:join:#: {
;below here is checking to see if $nick has a set welcome back msg
if ($nick = %wbnick1) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg1 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick2) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg2 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick3) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg3 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick4) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg4 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick5) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg5 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick6) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg6 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick7) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg7 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick8) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg8 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick9) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg9 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick10) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg10 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick11) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg11 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick12) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg12 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick13) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg13 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick14) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg14 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick15) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg15 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick16) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg16 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick17) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg17 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick18) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg18 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick19) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg19 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick20) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg20 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick21) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg21 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick22) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg22 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick23) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg23 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick24) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg24 | goto wbadd }
if ($nick = %wbnick25) { set %wbmsg %wbmsg25 | goto wbadd }
;The Wb add :wbadd /msg $chan WB $nick WB %wbmsg halt }

Now of coarse you can decorate /msg $chan WB $nick WB %wbmsg however you like. All you need to make is a set-up. Dialog,@windows,popups,or whatever.

Example #2(Ini's):

For this one you must first go into your main mirc directory. Create a file called wb.ini. Open wb.ini and put in the first line [wb] then save and exit. The Ini should look like this:

[wb]

Simple enough! Now to the scripting part.

on *:join:#: {
;Checks to see if the nick is in the wb database if ($readini wb.ini wb $nick == $null) { halt }
else {
;the Wb add /msg $chan WB $nick WB $readini wb.ini wb $nick
}

Then make a nicklist popup
WB
.ADD:/set %wbmsg $$?="WB Msg:" | /writeini wb.ini wb $$1 %wbmsg
.DEL:/remini wb.ini wb $$1
